Big Sky, Montana – On November 22, 2018 (aka Thanksgiving Day) at 9AM Big Sky Resort opens for the 2018/2019 winter season. For skiers and riders heading out for Big Sky Resort opening day 2018, they’ll find 750 acres of terrain serviced by four major lifts.

Since the resort received over 70 inches of snow prior to opening day, they have plans to open 750 acres of skiable terrain that will be accessed by Swift Current, Explorer, Powder Seeker, Challenger, and four surface lifts. They also note that the Lone Peak Tram is open for scenics and both the Explorer and Swifty 2.0 terrain parks will be open too.
And in case you weren’t checking the weather… According to the National Weather Service, snow is in the forecast Thursday to Saturday! Woohoo! Let the winter season begin.
